No. 25 Women's Lacrosse Races Past BU at Home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - No. 25 Brown women's lacrosse reached the 20-goal mark for the second-straight game on Saturday as the team took down Boston University, 21-9, at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
The Bears improve to 5-1 on the year, while the Terriers drop to 4-2. Senior Nathalie Ahn set a new career highs with three goals, six assists and nine points. Junior Greta Criqui led the team with four goals, while seniors Leah Caputo and Julia Ford each tallied three goals. Seniors Mia Mascone and Maddie Joyce each had two goals and Mascone added two assists.
Freshman Tara Reilly picked up her first-career win in the cage with seven saves. Fellow first-year Mariama Camara netted her first-career goal in the final seconds.
Joyce and Ford started things off with a pair of quick goals to make it a 2-0 game at 12:16. After BU evened the score, the Bears went on an 8-1 run with goals by Criqui, junior Annie Burton, Caputo and Ford.
BU then made it 10-5 midway through the second quarter, but Brown took control scoring the next 10 of 12 goals, to extend the lead to 20-7 with 5:44 to go in the third.
Camara then finished it off with a goal with one second remaining in the game.
Brown hosts Notre Dame on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
