PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball (7-15, 2-4 Ivy) earned a 2-0 win over Harvard (12-12, 3-5 Ivy) to close out the series with the Crimson on Sunday.
Alexis Guevara (5-8) picked up the win with a stellar performance, throwing a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits and two walks.
Brown got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the first. Jasmine Hsiao led off the game with a single and after Moody walked two batters later, Brown had runners on first and second with one out. Following a strikeout, Brianna Rodriguez delivered with a double to the wall in right center to score both runners.
After a walk with two outs in the top of the third, Guevara got the next out and then took control of the game. The junior retired the next seven batters she faced and only allowed one runner to reach base over the last four innings.
The Bears finished the game with five hits as Dara English picked up her sixth double of the season and Jayme Gross added a triple.

Brown will be back in action on the road next weekend for a three game series at Dartmouth.
