PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the conference leading third time this season, Brown junior Julia Bedell has been named the GEC Specialist of the Week after a pair of stellar performances in the Bears' two meets last week.
Bedell started her week last Monday by tying her own program record on floor with a 9.950 at the All-American Challenge at Mohegan Sun. She followed that up on Saturday by tying her own mark for third all-time in program history at the Ivy Classic with a score of 9.925 to win the individual title on floor for the second straight year. She earned All-Ivy honors on both vault and floor, giving her five All-Ivy honors for her career.
Bedell and the rest of the Bears will compete this Sunday, March 3 in a quad meet at the University of Bridgeport with Talladega and Rhode Island College.
