Softball Improves to 3-1 with 7-3, 11-0 Wins on Saturday

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Brown (3-1) scored 18 runs in wins over Butler and Bellarmine on Saturday in the R.O.C. Parks on day two of The Spring Games. The Bears defeated the Bulldogs 7-3 before blanking the Knights 11-0.

Alexis Guevara (2-0) and Macy Borowski (1-1) followed yesterday with back-to-back complete games.

BROWN DEFEATS BUTLER 7-3
A five-run fifth inning gave Brown the edge over the Bulldogs as the Bears defeated Butler 7-3 behind another complete game by Guevera. Guevara struck out three in her second win of the weekend.

The Bears took a 2-1 lead following Dara English's two-run single. Cameron Zytkewicz Ray collected two hits and Kaicee Klus scored twice.

BROWN DEFEATS BELLARMINE 11-0
Laurel Moody had a huge game with a home run and five RBI in the blowout victory over the Knights.

Borowski (1-1) tossed a shutout with seven strikeouts and allowed just one hit.

NEXT UP
The final day of The Spring Games is tomorrow when the Bears take on Middle Tennessee at 10 a.m.
