Women’s Basketball to Face Harvard on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's basketball team will look to pick up a game and move within one game of Harvard in the Ivy League standings this weekend when they travel to face the Crimson on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

- Coming off a dramatic last-second win over Penn last Saturday, Brown sits in fourth place in the Ivy League standings entering this weekend and in control of its own destiny for a spot in the upcoming Ivy Madness Tournament
- Brown enters one game up on Penn for the final spot in Ivy Madness, and two games behind third-place Harvard.
- Senior guard Kyla Jones was named the Ivy League Player of the Week for the second time this season following a pair of sensational performances last weekend, particularly against Penn.
- Jones became the 23rd player in program history to score 1,000 career points early in the opening minutes, then hit the game-winning layup with 1.5 seconds left to secure the 61-59 win. She finished with a game-high 22 points on 11-of-21 shooting.
- For the week, she averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
- Brown is 10-1 on Saturdays and Sunday this season, compared to 0-4 on Fridays. Their lone Saturday blemish came on Feb. 3 at No. 25 Princeton.
