Softball Picked to Finish Sixth in Ivy Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown softball was picked to finish sixth in the Ivy League preseason poll, as selected by athletic communications and select media.
Princeton collected 119 points and eight first-place votes in the poll while Harvard was just behind with 113 points and seven first-place votes. The teams shared the Ivy League title last season while Harvard won the inaugural Ivy League tournament championship and captured the Ivy League automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Brown received 51 total points.
The Ivy League softball tournament is set for Thursday-Saturday, May 9-11, and will be hosted by the site of the No. 1 seed. The event will feature the top four teams in the league who will play in a double-elimination format. The tournament champion will earn the League's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
