Women’s Basketball Falls to No.11/12 TCU on Sunday

FORT WORTH, Texas- The Brown women's basketball team (6-7) suffered a 79-42 loss to the No. 11/12 Texas Christian University Horned Frogs (13-1, 1-0 Big 12) on Sunday afternoon. This game marks Brown's final non-conference game of the season.
Senior guard Isabella Mauricio led the Bears in scoring, netting a total of 17 points. Junior guard Grace Arnolie followed with 13 points.
The Bears hit four three-pointers in the first quarter, helping keep the contest tight. Arnolie netted three of the triples, along with one from sophomore guard Olivia Young. The Bears rounded out the first 10 with 14 points to TCU's 17.
Both teams were unable to net any points until the halfway point of the second quarter. The scoring bounced back and forth between the Bears and Horned Frogs. The Bears trailed by nine points going into the break.
TCU outscored the Bears in the second half of the game taking control of their lead, and ultimately earning them a win.
UP NEXT
The Bears will host Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 4 to kick off Ivy League play for the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
