BETHLEHEM, PA. - The Bears wrapped the 2024 portion of their schedule yesterday at the Sheridan Tournament, hosted by Lehigh.
Several competitors had nice outings at the event, including Connor O'Donnell (174), who finished in second place for his pool. O'Donnell won back to back matches to secure his spot in the final round, defeating Dominic Wheatley (Franklin & Marshall) and Nick Alvarez (Franklin & Marshall).
Ethan Mojena (149) finished in third place for his weight class, scoring four consecutive victories in the consolation bracket against Michael Cetta (Rutgers), Josh Hillard (Franklin & Marshall), Matt Repos (Lehigh), and Jack Myers (Virginia).
Andrew Reall (184) also had a strong showing, finishing in fourth place in his pool with victories against Justin Phillips (Virginia) and his Brown teammate, Nick Olivieri.
"The Sheridan Tournament was a good way to close our first semester competition slate. It was another opportunity for our athletes to test themselves and for us as coaches to see who our best performers are. Our second semester will be more dense and team oriented. We look forward to seeing how fifteen of our top guys look at the Southern Scuffle on January 4 and 5," said Head Coach Jordan Leen after the tournament.
