Women's Tennis Wraps Up Fall Season at ITA Sectionals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- The Brown women's tennis team finished their fall season at the ITA Sectional Championships hosted by UNC Chapel Hill.Â
Phoebe Peus and Lindsey Hofflander represented Brown in doubles at the Sectional Championships. The duo competed on Thursday against Martina Genis Salas and Annabelle Xu from the University of Virginia. The match ended with a tiebreaker that Genis Salas and Xu ultimately won (6-4, 3-6 [4-10]).Â
Peus also competed in singles where she took on Kaitlyn Carnicella from the University of South Carolina. Peus was defeated by Carnicella in a tiebreaker, and did not move on.
Freshman Bella Hu competed against Annabelle Xu in singles, dropping the match 4-6, 0-6.
The Bears will be back in action for their spring season on Jan. 17 at Yale.
