Women’s Soccer Set for Ivy League Championship Against Princeton on Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Brown women's soccer team will take on top-seeded Princeton at the Ivy League Championship Game on Sunday, kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Stadium.
Last Time Out
Brown advanced to the Ivy League Championship Game with a 2-1 win over Columbia (Nov. 8). After falling behind 1-0, Gianna De Priest tied the game at one right before halftime and Lexi Quinn gave Brown a 2-1 lead early in the second half.
Bella Schopp made four second half saves to preserve Brown's lead.
Rookie of the Year
Ella Weil of the Brown was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year while a total of five Bears earned All-Ivy League honors.
Weil becomes the eighth player in program history to earn Rookie of the Year and the first since Brittany Raphino won the award in 2019.
Weil had a standout freshman season with the Bears as she led all freshmen with five goals and 13 points, both totals led the Bears. Weil's three assists ranked second on the Bears five goals ranked fifth in the Ivy League. Along with Rookie of the Year, Weil earned Second Team All-Ivy.
History
Bown is 24-19-4 all-time against Princeton, the Tigers defeated the Bears 8-0 in the regular season contest (Oct. 5).
The loss against Princeton snapped a five-game winning streak for Brown against the Tigers, Brown is 6-2 against Princeton under head coach Kia McNeill.

The Ivy League regular season champions enter the title game with a 13-4 overall record, the Tigers have won five consecutive games and are 9-2 at Roberts Stadium this season.
Princeton earned a 3-1 win over Harvard (Nov. 8) in the Ivy League Semifinal.
