Women's Basketball Set for Monmouth on Saturday

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.- The Brown women's basketball team will continue their season on the road when they head to New Jersey to take on the Monmouth Hawks. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at OceanFirst Bank Center.
The game will be broadcast live on FloHoops.

Scouting the Bears (0-1)
- Brown suffered a 82-60 loss against No. 25/24 Indiana in their season opener on Monday. Despite their loss, the Bears showcased their strength and competitiveness throughout the game.
- Senior guard Isabella Mauricio lead Brown in scoring with a total of 15 points. Sophomore guard Olivia Young followed with 13 points.
- Senior center Gianna Aiello grabbed seven rebounds against Indiana. The team totaled 26 rebounds.
- First-years Gia Powell and Aima Ofunrein posted their first collegiate points, rounding out the game with nine and eight respectively.
- Monmouth lost their first game of the season to the Yale Bulldogs. The contest remained close with a final score of 64-61.Â
- Senior guard Damaris Rodriguez lead the Hawks in scoring on Monday, with a total of 14. Fifth-year forward Taisha Exanor finished behind Rodriguez with 10 points.
- Exanor lead Momouth in rebounds, getting nine of them. The Hawks grabbed a total of 44 rebounds against Yale.
- Monmouth was unable to net any three-pointers against Yale, going 0-11 on three point opportunities.
- Brown has a 3-0 record against Monmouth, that dates back to the 2010-11 season.
- The past two contests between the Bears and Hawks have been decided by just one single point (59-58 in 2023-24, 70-69 in 2022-23).
- The Bears look to extend their record over the Monmouth Hawks.
