Women's Basketball Set to Face Kent State in Puerto Rico Clasico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico- The Brown women's basketball team will head to San Juan, Puerto Rico to compete in the Puerto Rico Clasico over Thanksgiving break. Their first matchup will be against Kent State on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28). Tip-off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum.

Scouting the Bears (2-4)
- The Bears fell short to the Rhode Island Rams in their last game on Nov. 23. The Rams earned the win with a final score of 63-58.
- Senior center Gianna Aiello posted back-to-back double-doubles, and her third of the season. Aiello put up 13 points, and grabbed 14 rebounds. She previously posted double-doubles against Johnson and Wales on Nov. 19 (13 rebounds, 14 points) and at Monmouth on Nov. 9 (14 rebounds, 23 points).
- Junior guard Grace Arnolie set a new career-high in points with 27, surpassing her previous high of 25 points.
- Brown went 9-for-9 in free throws, courtesy of Arnolie, Aiello, and first year forward Aima Ofunrein.
- The Golden Flashes are coming off of a 89-69 win over Xavier on Nov. 23.
- Mya Babbitt led Kent State in scoring in their contest against Xavier with 25 points.
- Jenna Batsch leads the Golden Flashes in total points with 80, but Dionna Gray leads the team in average points with 15.5 per game.
- Bridget Dunn ranks second in the Mid-American Conference in rebounding and blocked shots. She averages 9.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
- The Bears have a 1-1 record against the Golden Flashes. The two teams met in the 1995-96 and 2015-16 season.
- In their most recent meeting, Brown earned a 62-57 win over Kent State.
