PRINCETON, N.J. – The Brown Bears Cross Country teams raced at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2. Eight teams competed in the men's and women's races. The women's side earned a fifth-place finish, scoring 136 points, while the men's side finished in eighth, scoring 257 points.

Olivia Fraga led the way for the women, earning 17^th place with a time of 20:51.5. Nimrit Ahuja was next, finishing 24^th overall with a time of 21:01.1. Morgan Boonshaft (25^th/21:02.5), Emily Mrakovcic (36^th/21:17.6) and Maxine Montoya (38^th/21:18.8) were the final three scorers for the Bears.

Isolde McManus (48^th/21:34.0), Scarlet Stimson (54^th/21:46.1), Julia Schriefer (63^rd/21:56.8), Lillian Kaelber (70^th/22:16.4) and Sarah Paul (71^st/22:16.9) rounded out the finishers for the women.

For the men's side, Justin Hickey led the Bears with a 64^th place finish and a time of 24:56.0. Matthew Doherty was next, finishing in 68^th with a time of 25:02.6. Colin Fisher (71^st/25:09.4), Tommy Gaffey (76^th/25:25.7) and John Farrell (78^th/25:29.2) rounded out the scoring.

Nick Strayer (83^rd/25:49.0), Sebastian Margetts (87^th/26:04.6), Kit Jackson (88^th/26:10.7), Luke Bodden (90^th/26:22.4), John Ryan (91^st/26:26.2), Sam Colton (92^nd/26:32.3) and Jason Markopoulos (93^rd/26:52.0) were the final finishers for the men.

The Bears will now look ahead to the NCAA northeast regional championships in two weeks on Friday, Nov. 15.
