PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A pair of Brown cross country student-athletes have earned Academic All-Ivy honors for their performances in both the classroom and competition this fall. Junior Sebastian Margetts and senior Nimrit Ahuja are the Bears' two recipients for the 2025 season.
Ahuja and Margetts both led the Bears at Ivy League Heps last weekend, with Margetts placing 24th overall for the men and Ahuja finishing 25th on the women's side. Margetts, who concentrates in applied math-economics, led the men's team in three of the four races he has competed in this season, including a first place overall finish of 15:18.1 at the 5K Rothenberg Run.
Ahuja, who concentrates in biology, has been the Bears' front runner this season, leading the team's pack in all four of her races, including a first place overall finish at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational (6K-21:03.8) and a strong fifth place finish (out of 235 runners) at the ECAC Championship, earning All-East honors. Her strongest showing of the year came at the Paul Short Run, where she completed the 6K race in 20:40.8, good for the sixth-fastest 6K time in program history.
