Women's Basketball Closes Out Homestand with Johnson and Wales

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team will wrap up their three game homestand with Johnson and Wales on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (1-3)
- Brown is still looking for their first home win of the season, after suffering a 62-55 loss to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on Sunday.
- First-year guard Gia Powell continued to break her own personal bests in Sunday's matinee contest. Powell closed out the game with 18 points. She posted seven field goals and four three-pointers.
- First-year forward Aima Ofunrein had yet another strong game. She posted her first double-double of her career, and of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Ofunrein also went 5-for-8 in field goals, and five-for-six in free throws.
- Junior guard Mady Calhoun continues to impress with her three-point buckets in clutch situations.
- Johnson and Wales has hosted two contests at home this season, earning wins at both.Â
- The Wildcats posted a total of 94 points against Salve Regina. Four Wildcats closed out the game with double-figures in points. First-year forward Grace Jaffray led the team with 39 points.
- Johnson and Wales is averaging 90 points, 41 rebounds and 11 steals per game, after their two games.
- Grace Jaffray leads the team with a total of 55 points, averaging 27.5 per game. Junior forward and center Mikayla Caruso has the second-most points with 35 total points, and 17.5 per game.
