Women's Hockey Shutout by Yale in Sunday Defeat

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 15 Brown women's hockey (6-4-0, 4-4-0) dropped its contest to Yale (5-3-1, 4-3-1), 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Bears were outshot 25-18 in the loss and were shutout for the first time this season. Anya Zupkofska finished the game with 22 saves for Brown.
Yale scored its first goal on the power play at 12:39 in the first period and doubled its lead at 14:03 in the second.
After being outshot 14-2 in the first period Brown was able to even things back up, outshooting the Bulldogs 7-5 in the second and 9-6 in the third. The Bears were unable to get the puck past Jia Dukaric, who finished the night with the 18-save shutout.
Yale's final tally came at 19:26 in the third with an empty net goal.

Brown stays home next weekend for games against Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
