Volleyball Hosts Penn and Princeton; Match Against Tigers on ESPNU

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown volleyball plays host to Penn and Princeton this weekend as the Bears are in the thick of the race to the Ivy League Tournament. The Bears will host the Quakers on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Tigers on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The match against Penn will be Brown's Team Impact Awareness game and will be streamed on ESPN+. The match against Princeton will be broadcast on ESPNU.

SCOUTING BROWN (6-12, 3-5 Ivy)
- Brown returns home for a four-game stretch beginning with matchups against Penn and Princeton as the race for the Ivy League Tournament heats up.
- Brown will be looking to rebound from a four-set loss to Yale last weekend. Hannah Flannery had a career-high 16 kills for the Bears to lead the way and Masha Sidorova had a 12-kill, 10-dig double-double.
- Julia Kakkis picked up a career-high 38 assists and added 13 digs for her second double-double in the last three matches.
- Led by Jessie Golden's 22 digs, Brown had four players record double-digit digs for the first time since playing Binghamton on Sept. 16, 2023.
- Golden is set to reach 1,000 digs for the Bears as the junior is just 13 digs away from the mark. She will become the second player to reach the mark this season as senior Victoria Vo did so earlier in the year.
- Brown lost their first meetings with both Penn and Princeton in straight sets earlier this year. Brown will be looking to avoid back-to-back losses to Penn for the first time since dropping both meetings back in 2017.
- Victoria Vo now sits in fifth all-time in program history with 95 service aces. With five more aces, Vo will become the fifth player to ever reach the 100 aces mark and tie Maddie Lord '15 with 100 career aces.
- Penn is coming off a three-set win over Columbia the last time the Quakers took the court.
- Penn is leading the Ivy League and 60th in the NCAA with 1.73 service aces per set. Ellie Siskin leads Penn with 19 and Bella Rittenberg is second with 16.
- Zaga Sndger is leading the team with 3.24 kills per set and three other Quakers have over 2.00 per set.
- Princeton has won four-straight Ivy matches coming into the weekend. The Tigers will play Yale on Friday before taking on the Bears.
- Princeton is second in the Ivy League and 29th in the NCAA in hitting percentage (.263).
- Kamryn Chaney leads the Ivy League with 4.30 kills per set and is second in the league with 0.39 aces per set.
