Men's Soccer Falls to #22 Cornell in Saturday Night Tilt

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown men's soccer team fell 1-0 to the ranked No. 22 Cornell on Saturday night at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
"Another good performance in a tight game where we unfortunately don't get anything out of it. We make a mistake in midfield and a good team like Cornell punishes you, that was the difference. It starts and ends with me and I have to find a way for this team to stop beating ourselves. I also have to get our attacking players to produce and step up in these tight games. We will go back to drawing board and get ready for Tuesday," Head Coach Chase WIleman said.
The first 45 minutes of the game was a hard-fought battle between the Bears and the Big Red, leaving both teams scoreless at the half. Shooting attempts remained close for both teams, with Brown posting four and Cornell posting five after 45. The Big Red landed one shot on target against the Bears' three.
The deciding goal was scored in the 60th minute by Cornell's Alioune Ka. The Bears generated opportunities throughout the game, but were unable to capitalize on them.
Brown men's soccer will be back in action on Tuesday, when they host URI for their final non-conference game of the season.
