PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's hockey head coach Brendan Whittet '94 announced the leadership group for the 2024-25 season. Senior Tony Andreozzi and sophomore Max Scott will captain the Bears this season with senior Brett Bliss and sophomore Alex Pineau serving as assistant captains.
Elected by their teammates, Andreozzi and Scott are the 114th and 115th captains in program history.
A Winchester, Massachusetts native, Andreozzi has not missed a game in his career, entering the new season with 91 career games played. The defenseman has 11 points in his three seasons and has blocked 100 shots since arriving to College Hill.
Scott is the first sophomore in program history to don the 'C'. The San Jose, California native tallied 18 points in 22 games as a freshman in 2023-24.
Bliss serves as an assistant captain for the second straight season. A stalwart on the blue line, he has skated in 90 career games and every game in each of the last two seasons. The Chelmsford, Massachusetts native has 31 career points entering the new campaign.
Pineau, a sophomore defenseman, picked up Second Team All-Ivy honors as a freshman in 2023-24 after posting 15 points in all 30 games played. Pineau led defensemen in scoring and also led the Bears with 63 blocked shots.
