Men's Water Polo Bests MIT, Falls at No. 9/10 Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 18/19 Brown men's water polo picked up a win at MIT before closing out the day with a loss to No. 9/10 Harvard on Saturday.
NO. 18/19 BROWN 13, MIT 8
Brown picked up three goals from Mac Berry and two goals each from Trey Rogers, Máté Tymcyna and Ilias Stothart. Gabe Chang, Daniel Hadar and William Griswold each had two assists.
In goal, Dimitris Kratimenos had six saves for the Bears.
Brown outscored MIT 4-0 in the first quarter and led 6-4 at halftime. In the third quarter, Brown picked up four more goals to increase the lead by one. The Bears outscored MIT 3-1 in the final quarter to put the game away.
No. 9/10 HARVARD 18, No. 18/19 BROWN 10
Brown dropped the second game of the day to Harvard, 18-10. Brown took the lead early with two quick goals but allowed six-straight Harvard goals as the Crimson took the lead and Brown was never able to climb back into the game.
UP NEXT
Brown will be back home, hosting part of the Harvard Invite next weekend with two games on both Saturday (Oct. 19) and Sunday (Oct. 20).
