
Track and Field Assistant Bingham Defends Canadian National Title

LANGLEY, B.C., Canada – Brown assistant track and field coach Khamica Bingham captured her third overall outdoor national championship in the 100 meter dash over the weekend at the 2023 Bell Canadian National Track and Field Championships.
On July 28, Bingham took first place in the prelims with a time of 11.14 seconds. She followed that up in the finals with a time of 11.25 seconds, winning the race by 0.07 seconds to successfully defend her national title in the event. She previously won the Canadian 100m titles in 2022 and 2015.
A two-time Olympian, Bingham represented Team Canada at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games in the 100 meters, and is seeking to qualify once again for the 2024 Games which will be held in Paris.
Bingham joined Brown as a volunteer assistant coach in November 2022 and works with the men's and women's sprinters and hurdlers. A native of Ontario, Bingham became a pro track and field athlete for New Balance in 2016.
