PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Head Brown men's basketball coach Mike Martin '04 has announced the program's 2023-24 schedule. The 29-game slate features 15 nonconference contests, matchups with all three other DI in-state schools, and a trip to the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in the Bahamas.
"This schedule will certainly rank as one of the most challenging we've had here in recent years," Martin said. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to play each of the other three Division I schools in our state. Playing at USC will be a great experience for our two student-athletes from Southern California and their families as well as our alumni and fans there. Lastly, the field for the 2023 Baha Mar Classic has strong mid-major programs throughout. All of these games should prepare us to compete for an Ivy League Championship in 2024."
The Bears open their season on Nov. 6 on the road at Cornell. Other early-season contests of note include a trip to USC on Nov. 19 and the Baha Mar Championship on Nov. 24-26 beginning with a matchup against Delaware.
In addition, Brown will take on all three other DI in-state programs during the same season for the first time since 2017-18. The trip through the state begins with Bryant at home on Dec. 1, before traveling to Rhode Island and Providence on Dec. 6 and Dec. 10, respectively.
Ivy League play begins at home against Yale on Jan. 9. The league schedule features four back-to-back weekends: twice against Penn and Princeton, both on the road and at home, road games at Columbia and Cornell, and finally a home weekend with Harvard and Dartmouth.
The final game of the regular season will be on March 9 at Yale.
Ivy Madness, featuring the top-four teams in the regular season standings, will take place March 16-17.
Ticket information will be available at a later date, but fans are encouraged to contact the Brown Ticket Office with any questions regarding season or single-game tickets at 401-863-2773 or athtickets@brown.edu.
