Men's Crew Takes Opening Heat at Henley

Henley-on-Thames – Brown men's crew kicked off the 2023 Henley Royal Regatta on Wednesday by taking its opening heat in the Prince Albert Cup (Varsity 4+).
The Bears started the regatta against the University of Durham and finished with a time of 7:33 on the 2,112 meter course, defeating Durham by 1 1/4 lengths. Brown will take on Harvard University, who defeated Cambridge University, on Thursday at 11:10 a.m. ET.
The Henley Royal Regatta is widely considered the most prestigious rowing regatta in the entire world, first held in 1839. Racing takes place in the town of Henley-on-Thames, England.
