
Four Brown Jumpers Qualify for NCAA First Round

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Four members of the Brown track and field teams have qualified for five events at the NCAA East First Round, the NCAA announced on Thursday. Two jumpers from both the men's and women's teams will represent the Bears at the prelims, which will take place Wednesday-Saturday, May 24-27 on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Junior and Ivy League high jump champion John McNeil, along with junior Zach Love will compete on the men's side, joining juniors Chiamaka Odenigbo and Ivy long jump champion/Most Outstanding Field Performer Lauren Yeboah-Kodie on the women's side.
Participants for the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships first rounds qualify by being one of the top 48 seeds in each event for their respective region. The top 12 placers at both the East and West first round sites will qualify for the NCAA National Championships June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
