
Ten New Top-10 Marks Highlight Saturday for Track and Field in Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Brown track and field concluded a two-meet weekend on Saturday at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational at the University of Miami, as well as the UMass Flagship Opener.
On the men's side, junior John MeNeil won the high jump and senior Zach Love turned in the No. 2 ranked 100m dash time in men's outdoor program history. Three women all hit top-10 marks in the triple jump, including sophomore Jada Joseph, who set top 10 marks in both the long and triple jumps, and junior Lauren Yeboah-Kodie who won with the No. 3 all-time mark in the triple jump, and had the No. 8 all-time mark in 100m hurdles.
All told, the Bears added 10 new marks on the school's top-10 all-time performers list, and tied two other marks.
HURRICANE ALUMNI INVITATIONAL
MEN
Love, Daniel Sarisky and JonCarlo Migaly all hit NEICAAA qualifying marks in the 100 meter dash, with Love leading the way in ninth place in 10.58 seconds, ranking as the number two time on the program's top 10 performer's list. Sarisky finished in 10.70 seconds, and Migaly ran in 10.78.
Sarisky tied his PR in the 200 meters at 21.39 seconds, which ties his mark for No. 7 on the program's all-time list. Jack Kelley took eighth place in the 400 meters, coming just one hundredth of a second shy of the No. 10 mark on the program's all-time list and setting a new PR.
Marcus Gilespie ran 14.47 in the 110m hurdles.
The 4x100m relay team of Gillespie, Love, Migaly and Sarisky combined for the No. 7 all-time mark in program history in 41.16.
In the jumps, McNeil won the high jump where he tied his PR of 2.12m to take first place, and led the Bears in the long jump at 7.15 meters. Joseph Oduro tied his PR of 14.76m while competing in the triple jump.
WOMEN
Starting in the heptathlon, freshman Adrienne Usher led all first-years by finishing fourth overall with 4,761 points, putting her sixth all-time on the program's top 10 list.
Brown had three athletes place on the top-10 all-time performers list, led by Yeboah-Kodie who took home first place in the triple jump with a big personal record of 12.96 meters, nearly two feet further than her previous PR, and vaulting her into third place on the school's all-time list. Joseph also improved her PR to 12.44 meters and moved from 10th place to ninth place all-time. Odenigbo leapt 12.42 meters to move into the top 10 all-time at No. 10.
Rudecia Bernard moved into ninth place on the school's high jump list after clearing 1.74 meters on her second attempt to take third place at the meet. Joseph tied for ninth all-time in the long jump by leaping 5.95m to place seventh overall in the event.
Emma Gallant led the Bears in the 100m (12.15) and 200m (24.59), setting a new PR in the 100m. Jenna Lowrey set a new PR in the 400m dash in 58.12. Yeboah-Kodie moved up to No. 8 on the all-time list with a 14.14-second race in the 100 meter hurdles, improving her PR by 0.09 seconds. Brooke Ury finished the 100m hurdles race in 14.20.
Anjoli Mathew improved her PR by just over half a second to move into seventh place on the program list in 1:01.72., and Amy Willig also set a new PR at 1:03.79.
In the throws, the Bears were led Chidinma Agbasi in the hammer at 50.61m, with Kenzii Phillips throwing 44.16 meters in the javelin.
UMASS FLAGSHIP OPENER
Ronan Folan led Brown in both the discus and shot out coming one centimeter shy of his shot put PR at 14.39 meters.
Rachel Bibiu set a new PR in the long jump at 5.10 meters. The Bears earned 10 team points in the 5,000 meters with Emma Zwall taking third place in 18:18.96 to set anew PR, and Sara Perez took fourth place.
UP NEXT
Next weekend, Brown will be represented at the Friar Invitational at Providence College on Friday, and the UConn Northeast Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
