Brown to Close out Home Schedule against Dartmouth this Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team will wrap up its 10-game homestand this weekend with its final home series of the season against Dartmouth. Due to weather, game one of the series will be on Friday at 3:30 p.m., with the final two games being played on Saturday.

SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown is coming off a series against Harvard where they fell twice by scores of 4-1, sandwiched around a 4-3 walk-off win.
- Freshman DH Mika Petersen is fourth in the Ivy League with a .346 batting average and enters this weekend riding a 17-game hitting streak and a 19-game on-base streak.
- Senior outfielder Derian Morphew is third on the team in batting (.286) and ranks fifth in the league with 13 doubles. He leads the team with 23 RBIs.
- Morphew has a hit in 18 of his last 20 games and has a hit in 17 of those games.
- Freshman shortstop DJ Dillehay has reached base in 19 of his last 20 games. He is third on Brown with a .316 batting average and is second in both on-base (.398) and slugging (.434). He delivered the walk-off hit last Saturday against Harvard.
- Senior catcher Jacob Burley is hitting .321 with 14 walks and 12 RBIs.
- Pitcher Santhosh Gottam struck out six and allowed just two runs over 6.0 innings in his last start against Harvard, earning a no-decision.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
- Sophomore shortstop Elliot Krewson leads qualified Big Green hitters with a .311 batting average and 20 runs scored.
- Sophomore Tyler Cox has started in 17 games and holds a .397/.506/.476 slash line.
- On the mound, sophomore southpaw Trystan Sarcone has made nine starts and struck out 35 batters in 44.0 innings.
- The Big Green will look snap a 25-game losing streak entering this weekend, with their lone win coming at USF back on March 14.
- Dartmouth holds a .228 team batting average and a 9.81 team ERA.
