Track and Field Posts Two Personal Bests in Black and Gold Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Brown concluded the Black and Gold Invitational on Sunday with 10 points on the women's side and six for the men.
WOMEN
Mackenzie Palinksi and Chidinma Agbasi placed fourth and sixth, respectively, in the hammer with a mark of 50.95m and 49.50m. In the javelin, Kelly Rothenberg's 31.10m was good for the top 25.
MEN
Ronan Folan's fifth-place discus throw (45.59m) was the best finish for a Bear in the two-day Bryant-hosted meet. It was also a personal best for the sophomore. Tyler Gurth finished ninth in the shot put with a toss of 13.63m and Folan followed with a 13.51m. In the hammer, Gurth placed 15th with a 45.28m throw, a personal best.
In the 800m, Henry Wood finished in the top 10 with a time of 1:56.88. Liu Rothschild's 55.29m in the javelin was good for No. 10.
UP NEXT
The team will compete in the UMass Season Opener and the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, hosted by the University of Miami on Friday and Saturday.
