Sailing Completes Another Weekend of Competition

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing teams competed at four events over the weekend.
The coed team finished in eighth out of 12 teams at the NEISA Open Team Race Championship. The event was shortened due to a lack of wind. Sailing for the Bears was Guthrie Braun, Liam O'Keefe, Connor Nelson, Emily Mueller, Lily Shore, Nora Ong, and Isabel Cox.
The top finish for Brown on the weekend came at the Yale Women's Team Race as the Bears took third following a three-way sail off with Stanford and Yale. All three teams finished with identical 11-3 records. Brielle Willoughby, Blaire McCarthy, Caroline Bayless, Emi Ruth, Brianna Ross, Savannah Young, and Helen Horangic competed for Brown.
At Emily Wick, Brown finished in fourth place out of 15 teams. In Division A, Charlotte Costikyan and Menasha Leport took sixth, while Katherine McNamara, Katharine Doble, Francesca Edmands, and Caroline Keeffe-Jones came in third in Division B.
At the Mystic Lake Team Race Invite, the coed team finished in sixth out of nine teams. Connor Macken, Mason Stang, Tommy Styron, Janelle Li, Catherine Morrissette, and Hannah Sellers competed for the Bears.
