Women's Water Polo Beats Redlands in Sunday Split

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 20 Brown women's water polo (14-4, 0-2) split two games on Sunday to finish up the weekend. The Bears earned a win over Redlands before falling to No. 14 Wagner to close out the day.
Game 1: Brown 10, Redlands 6
Claire Pisani led Brown with three goals as the Bears took an early advantage against Redlands and never looked back.
Pisani, Sierra Martin and Claire Poissonnier all scored in the first quarter and Brown led 3-1 after eight minutes.
The second quarter began with Pisani, Ella Palmer and Martin all scored to make it 6-1 before Redlands got a goal back. Pisani's third goal made it 7-2 at the break.
Shipley, Alexandra Love and Tallulah Clancy all scored in the second half to end any chance of a comeback as the Bears held off the Bulldogs.
Game 2: No. 14 Wagner 12, Brown 5
Brown's offense was shutout in the first half as the Bears fell behind 5-0 and could not get back into the game against Wagner.
After Lily Weiser scored to start the second half and make it 5-1, Wagner scored the next four goals, putting the game out of reach.
Zoe King, Claire Eusey, Palmer and Weiser all scored in the fourth quarter for the Bears but Wagner added three goals for the final tally
UP NEXT
Brown will be off until Saturday, March 25 when the Bears will return to play out in California.
