Hunter Adrian of Wrestling Advances to Second Day of EIWA Tournament

PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore Hunter Adrian of Brown wrestling is moving on to the second day of the EIWA Championships at 133 pounds after winning two matches Saturday at the Palestra.
The eighth-seeded Adrian started the tournament by defeating Pat Phillips of Franklin & Marshall by a 2-1 decision to get past the morning session. After falling to two-time All-American Vito Arujau of Cornell, Adrian bounced back with another hard-fought 2-1 decision over Sacred Heart's Andrew Fallon to advance to Sunday.
Claiming one victory on the day were sophomore Keegan Rothrock at 165 over Franklin & Marshall's Noah Bash (MD 8-0), classmate Drew Clearie at 174 against F&M's Noah Fox (Dec. 5-4), and freshman Alex Semenenko at 285 over Sacred Heart's Marc Berisha (Dec. 2-0).
UP NEXT
Adrian will face off against Drexel's Kyle Waterman in the consolation round of four. Adrian will have to win that match and one more to finish in the top five of 133 and qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
