Women's Water Polo Takes Down CSUN and Whittier on Sunday

WHITTIER, Calif. – Brown women's water earned two more wins on Sunday to improve to 4-0 on their California trip. The Bears beat CSUN and Whittier to increase their win streak to four.
BROWN 5, No. 22 CSUN 2
The Bears earned a win in a low scoring contest against No. 22 CSUN to start the day on Sunday. Sierra Martin led the way for Brown with two goals.
Claire Pisani scored the line first quarter goal 30 seconds into the game. The next goal was scored 17 seconds into the second quarter by Martin as Brown took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Martin scored again to start the third and Lily Weiser scored two minutes later to put Brown up 4-0. CSUN had back-to-back goals to start the fourth quarter before Zoe King scored with 19 seconds left in the game for the final tally.
Brown 15, Whittier 6
The Bears offense exploded as Brown closed out the night with a 15-6 win over Whittier. Sierra Martin led Brown with three goals on a night where 10 different Bears found the back of the net.
Martin scored twice in the first eight minutes while Tallulah Clancy, Emily Suong and Sophie Golub also scored as Brown led 5-2 after the first quarter. Zoe King scored Brown's only goal in the second as the Bears took a 6-4 lead into halftime.
Brown took over the game with a 5-0 third quarter as five different Bears scored in the frame. Suong and Pisani scored within the first two minutes before Siena Berry, Katherine Knowles and Martin scored to close out the period.
King, Clancy, Lucy Gramley and Alessandra D'Arcy all scored in the fourth quarter to give Brown the final margin.
UP NEXT
Brown will remain in California until play two more games on Wednesday. The Bears will play at Long Beach State and at UC Irvine to close out the trip.
