
Women's Lacrosse Hosts #20 UMass

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's lacrosse team will take on its second ranked opponent in as many weeks when No. 20 UMass comes to Stevenson-Pincince Field this Tuesday, March 14 for a 5 p.m. matchup. The game will serve as the team's Mental Health Awareness game, with both team's wearing awareness ribbons and Brown warming up in t-shirts to support the cause.
The game is scheduled to be streamed live on NESN+ and ESPN+. Tickets can be purchased at BrownBears.com/tickets and are free with a Brown student ID.
In addition to the team's Mental Health Awareness game, it is also $2 Tuesday. All concession items will be available for only $2.

Scouting the Bears (3-2, 1-0 Ivy)
- Annie Burton scored seven goals and recorded eight points last week, including a career performance at Sacred Heart, scoring five goals and assisting on one other in the victory. She now leads Brown on the season with 12 goals and 15 points.
- Emmie Lau is doing it all for the Bears this season as she leads the team in draws (19) ground balls (13) and caused turnovers (10). On the draw control front, Paige Gillen had a career-high eight for Brown at Sacred Heart.
- With three more points against SHU, Claire Jeschke sits at nine on the season and just three away from reaching her 100th career point. She would become the 22nd player in program history to achieve the feat.
- UMass has won five games in a row, most recently a dominant 22-12 win over then-No. 25 Richmond last time out. Their only loss on the season came back on Feb. 15 against then-No. 3 Boston College.
- The Minutewomen average 14.86 goals per game, good for the 15th-best scoring offense in the nation.
- Fiona McGowan has led UMass to this point in the season in assists (14) and points (29). Her 15 goals rank her third on the team.
- This will be the 13th meeting all-time between Brown and UMass, the first since 1999.
- The Bears own the all-time series at 7-5 and won the last meeting, 24 years ago, by a score of 12-11.
