Track and Field to Split Weekend Between Boston U. and Yale Meets

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – With just two weeks to go before Ivy League Heps, the Brown track and field teams will send athletes to two meets this weekend. The Bears will send many of their track athletes to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center on Friday and Saturday, while the team's field athletes, along with a small group of sprinters will compete at the Giegengack Invitational on Saturday at Yale's Coxe Cage.
David Hemery Valentine Invitational
Date: Friday-Saturday, February 10-11
Time: Friday- 10 a.m. | Saturday: Track- 9 a.m.

Entries: Men (PDF) | Women (PDF)
The women will compete on Friday at Boston U. with 20 athletes racing throughout the day on the track, with the events getting underway at 10 a.m. with the 5,000 meters. The men's team will send 20 runners to Boston to compete on Saturday starting with the 5,000m at 9 a.m.

Giegengack Invitational
Date: Saturday, February 11
Time: Field- 12 p.m., Running- 3:30 p.m.

The Giegengack Invitational at Yale will take place starting at noon on Saturday, with all of Brown's field athletes competing, along with a handful of sprinters. Andrew Li (60m, 200m), Pearson Brooks (400m), and Gabe Cannavo (mile) will compete on the track for the men, while 10 athletes will compete on the women's side in the 60, 400m and 800 meters later on Saturday afternoon.
