Gymnastics to Host Southern Connecticut in Sunday Dual

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's gymnastics team is set to welcome Southern Connecticut State to the Pizzitola Sports Center for a dual meet on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 5) at 1 p.m. The meet serves as the second of three consecutive weekends of home meet for the Bears. All fans are encouraged to wear green in support of mental health awareness.

ABOUT BROWN
Brown has posted a season-high 193.625 points in each of its last two meets. In last weekend's home opening quad meet against SCSU, Bridgeport and RIC, the Bears started the meet with a season-low on vault before rebounding to post season-high on bars (48.550), beam (48.175) and floor (48.725) to close the meet strong.
Sophomore Julia Bedell, who took first place on floor and tied for first on vault. Junior Asta-Sollilja Farrell tied for first on bars, while Abby Contello (vault), Lauren McKeown (bars), and Carolanne Van Zandt (floor) all added third place finishes.
Brown will conclude its three-meet homestand next Sunday (Feb. 12) with its Senior Meet in a dual with Springfield College.
