No. 25 Women’s Water Polo Begins Season 2-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 25 Brown women's water polo (2-0) defeated La Salle 10-4 and Siena 14-6 on Friday in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center to begin day one of the Bruno Classic with back-to-back wins.
BROWN DEFEATED LA SALLE 10-4
Brown led 6-3 after one with Lily Weiser scoring twice. Shauna Franke registered 11 saves and three scored twice apiece – Weiser, Sophie Golub and Ashley Penner.
BROWN DEFEATED SIENA 14-6
Freshman Roxanne Hazuka posted five saves in her collegiate debut and senior Claire Pisani went off, scoring four times, three of which came in the third.

Day two of the Bruno Classic resumes tomorrow and features Brown taking on LIU at 10:10 a.m. and Pomona-Pitzer at 2:50 p.m.
