Jade Iginla Named to HCA National Rookie of the Year Watch List

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Jade Iginla of the Brown women's hockey team has been named to the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) National Rookie of the Year Watch List.
The list consists of 28 first-year NCAA women's hockey players which will be voted National Rookie of the Year by the nation's assistant coaches. This year's National Rookie of the Year will be announced during the Frozen Four in Duluth in March.
From Lake County, B.C., Iginla leads the Bears with 11 goals and has added four assists for a team-best 15 points.
The Freshman is a two-time ECAC Rookie of the Week award winner and ranks fourth among rookies in the ECAC in goals. Iginla has a pair of two-goal games this season at Providence (11/26) and home against Cornell (12/3).
A forward, Iginla had a three-game point streak from Nov. 14 - Nov. 26 against Penn State, Holy Cross and PC where she tallied five points in that span.
Brown returns to the ice on Friday at RPI for a 6 p.m. puck drop.
