Women's Hockey Announces Captains for 2026-27 Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's hockey has announced its captains for the 2026-27 season.
In a vote by the team, senior Margot Norehad was named Captain for her senior season. Fellow seniors Sam Broz and Rory Edwards and junior Monique Lyons were named Assistant Captains.
Norehad finished last season tied for the team lead with 17 goals and added 12 assists for 29 points. The Glencoe, Ill., native finished last season with 10 more points than any season in her career and has 36 goals and 25 assists for her career.
Broz had a career-high 22 points, picking up 16 assists and six goals. Entering her final year of her career, the Bloomington, Minn., native has 55 points with 15 goals and 40 assists.
Edwards posted a 2.52 goals against average and a .913 saver percentage as a junior. The Schomberg, Ontario, Canada native posted eight wins with three shutouts last season.
Lyons led Brown last season with 22 assists and 39 points and was tied for the team-lead with 17 goals. The Bedford, Mass., native was named Second Team All-Ivy and was named ECAC Forward of the Week once as a sophomore. She has 59 points (29 goals, 30 assists) through her two seasons as a Bear.
