Women's Basketball Falls to Princeton

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball fell to Princeton 80-37 on Friday night (Feb. 17). Grace Arnolie led the Bears with 13 points in the defeat.
Behind Arnolie, Kyla Jones finished the night with 11 points and Isabella Mauricio was third on the team with five. Brown (10-13, 3-8 Ivy) struggled offensively against the league's best scoring defense. The Bears finished shooting 24 percent from the floor and 17 percent (4-for-24) from three-point range.
Brown led by three early on after a bucket from Jones and trailed by five after one quarter.
The Bears were down 33-22 at the half before Princeton (18-5, 9-2 Ivy) outscored the Bears 33-2 in the third quarter. Brown managed just two free throws from Jones in the third, going 0-for-11 from the field.
Both Gianna Aielle and Ada Anamekwe led Brown with five rebounds and each player scored two points. Jones led the Bears with three steals and Mauricio finished the night with two assists.
Princeton was led by 20 points from Kaitlyn Chen and 16 points from Madison St. Rose.

Brown will finish up the weekend with a home matchup against Penn beginning at 5 p.m.
