HAMILTON, N.Y. -Â Brown women's hockey put together a strong performance Saturday afternoon, but it was No. 4 Colgate who came away with a 3-1 win at the Class of 1965 Arena.
Sophomore Olivia Williamson sent home her fifth goal of the season for the Bears (8-18-1, 6-14-0 ECAC), while the Raiders (26-4-2, 16-3-1 ECAC) had goals from junior Kristýna Kaltounková, senior Danielle Serdachny and freshman Elyssa Biederman.
Junior Kaley Doyle finished with 27 saves. The final Colgate goal was an empty netter.
The Raiders struck with seven minutes left in the first when Kaltounková found the back of the net from sophomore Neena Brick and Serdachny.
Brown evened the score just over five minutes into the second. Freshman Jade Iginla got a hold of a loose puck and found Junior Anna Gallagher who sent it ahead to Williamson who fired it past the goaltender to make it a 1-1 game.
Serdachny scored the game winner early in the third with assists from seniors Kaitlyn O'Donohoe and Allyson Simpson. The Raiders then tacked on an empty netter with two minutes left to close it out.
Brown is home for its final regular season weekend beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. against Harvard.
