Swimming & Diving Hosts Yale For Saturday Dual Meet

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's and women's swimming and diving will take on Yale in a dual meet against the Bulldogs on Saturday, Dec. 2. The meet will begin at 12 p.m. in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The meet will be the last one in the 2023 calendar year for the Bears. Both teams are coming off a strong showing at the Bruno Invite as the Bears won both the men's and women's meets.
The men's squad is 1-2 in Ivy duals this season with a win over Dartmouth and losses to Princeton and Penn. The Bears have set two program records this season with Jack Kelly in the 200 breaststroke (1:52.03) and Rowland Lawver in the 3-meter springboard (391.80). Kelly's time was also a pool record at Brown.
The women's team is 2-2 on the season in Ivy duals having beaten Dartmouth and Penn and falling to Harvard and Princeton. Four school records have already fallen this season for Brown. Gillian Tu broke the school record in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.91) and Sumner Chmielewski broke the record in the 400 IM (4:15.64). On the boards, Isabella George broke the 3-meter springboard record with 329.30 points. The team of Jenna Reznicek, Tu, Zehra Bilgin and Morgan Lukinac set the record in the 400 medley relay (3:37.69).
