Men’s Basketball Nearly Completes 19-Point Comeback vs. Ohio

NASSAU, The Bahamas – Brown (2-6) rallied from a 19-point deficit to a one-possession game and two game-tying three-pointers rimmed out as Ohio (4-2) defeated the Bears, 82-77, on Sunday afternoon in the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center.
Felix Kloman's three with 1:12 remaining nearly erased the Bobcat lead after Aaron Cooley's three-point attempt.
Kino Lilly Jr. finished with 21 points and went 6-of-9 in the second half with three connects from long distance. Kalu Anya was 4-of-5 for 12 points in the second, Nana Owusu-Anane collected his fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds to go with three steals. Owusu-Anane went 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. Cooley posted 10 points and five rebounds.

FIRST HALF
Down by as much as 19, the Bears ended the opening half on a 10-run and held the Bobcats scoreless throughout the final 3:46 of the stanza to cut its deficit to 38-29.
Owusu-Anane posted 10 points, going 6-of-6 from the line, and added six rebounds in the first. Brown collected eight offensive boards in the first 20 minutes.
SECOND HALF
Following back-to-back Ohio baskets, Kloman drained an open three off a Anya pass, and Owusu-Anane found Lilly Jr. for a fast break bucket.
The Bears drew an offensive foul to regain possession and capped the seven-point surge with a Lilly Jr. setback three to make it a six-point ballgame.
Ohio extended its lead early in the second but seven straight points by Anya and an and-one by Lilly Jr. cut the deficit to single digits.
Moments later, Anya found Owusu-Anane for a dunk and a pair of free throws into the under-8 media (67-63 Bobcat lead).
With less than two minutes remaining, the Bears forced two Bobcats misses and attempted two shots to tie the contest, however, Ohio was able to preserve its lead and defeat Brown 82-77 in the finale of the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship.
