Men's Water Polo Falls to Harvard in NWPC Semifinals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown men's water polo fell in the semifinals of the NWPC Tournament to Harvard 14-10 on Saturday afternoon.
Both Máté Tymcyna and Jaxson Tierney scored three goals for the Bears, while Gabe Chang added two.
The Bears took a 2-0 lead early with goals by Tymcyna and held a 3-2 lead after one quarter when Tierney added his first goal of the game.
Tierney scored twice in the second quarter as Brown and Harvard went into halftime all-square at 5-5.
Chang scored twice in the third quarter and Tymcyna added his third goal but Harvard outscored the Bears 5-3 to lead 10-8 going into the final quarter.
The Crimson scored the first two goals of the fourth to extend its lead to 12-8 and Brown only managed two goals the rest of the way, coming from Goran Narancic and Ilias Stothart.
UP NEXT
Brown will play in the third-place game of the tournament on Sunday, when the Bears face off against Iona at 11 a.m.
