Men's Water Polo Finished Third in NWPC Tournament With Win Over Iona

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown men's water polo finished its season with a win over Iona in the third-place game of the NWPC Tournament, beating the Gaels 20-11.
Mac Berry and Ilias Stothart led Brown with four goals apiece. Evan Moore and Mate Tymcyna each had three goals. In goal, Joe Gallagher finished with eight saves.
Brown jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the first quarter. Stothart scored two first quarter goals for Brown while Tymcyna, Trey Rogers, Jaxson Tierney, Gabe Chang and Berry all netted one goal in the period.
The Bears took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring Iona 5-1. Tymcyna and Berry each scored twice with Goran Narancic also scoring as the Bears built a 12-5 lead at halftime.
Stothart scored twice in the third quarter, with Berry and Rogers each scoring once.
All three of Moore's goals came in the final quarter with Ramzi Megalli also scoring as Brown built a 20-9 lead.
