Owusu-Anane Posts Third Consecutive Double-Double in Tuesday’s Setback

DURHAM, N.H. – Nana Owusu-Anane finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds in Tuesday's 82-64 setback to New Hampshire (2-1) at Lundholm Gymnasium. The junior and co-captain led Brown (0-3) in points and rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
Kalu Anya added a career-high 19 points and six rebounds.
FIRST HALF
New Hampshire's 11-0 run with 4:16 remaining in the first extended the Wildcat lead to 18. At the half, UNH led 43-27.
Anya led the Bears with nine points and four rebounds. Clarence Daniels posted 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the first 20 to lead all players.
SECOND HALF
Brown chipped away in a hurry, scoring six unanswered in less than 90 seconds to make it a 10-point game. Anya's scoop layup highlighted the start of the half.
Owusu-Anane went coast to coast for an emphatic dunk and hyped the bench up with his signature flex before the under-16 media.
Kimo Ferrari drew a charge six minutes into the half and the momentum swung in the Bears' favor as the 6-0 Brown run made it an eight-point ballgame.
New Hampshire was able to make the most of its free throws, going 16-of-18 from the charity stripe in the second to take the midweek affair 82-64.
Daniels finished with 36 points and nine rebounds, Ahamd Robinson added 17 points and Jaxson Baker came off the bench with 14.
NOTES
N'famara Dabo made his collegiate debut and went 2-for-2 for four points and a blocked shot in the opening stanza… Sam Klores and New Hampshire native Alexander Lesburt Jr. made their season debut… in the second half, Adrian Uchidiuno and Symeon Efstathou made their debuts… with his double-double tonight, Owusu-Anane has three to begin the season, tied for most in the nation.
