
Lewis Scores Career-High 30 Points in Men’s Basketball’s Setback to Harvard

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior Landon Lewis scored a career-high 30 points as the Brown men's basketball team (7-12, 1-5) fell 69-59 to Harvard (11-9, 4-2) on Friday evening inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Lewis shot 12-16 from the floor, his 12 made field goals are the most since Kimo Ferari '24 made 14 field goals against Dartmouth (Mar. 2, 2024). Lewis' 30 points are the most since Kino Lilly Jr. '25 scored 34 points at Penn last season (Jan. 31, 2025). The Los Angeles, Calif. Native also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
Brown outscored Harvard 34-18 in the paint and 15-2 on second chance points. The Bears also had 17 assists on 23 made field goals.
The first half featured seven ties and three lead changes, Brown had 10 assists on 11 made field goals. Lewis scored a team-high 11 points in the opening 20 minutes behind 4-6 shooting from the field.
The Bears scored 16 of their 28 first half points inside the paint while shooting 11-25 from the floor. Brown's lone first half lead was two points 1:39 into the contest, Harvard's largest lead was six as it took a 34-28 lead into the second half.
The Crimson led by as much as 13 in the second half behind 10-17 shooting from the field and 13-14 shooting from the free throw line. The Bears got as close as three points early in the second half, and then six with 2:24 remaining, but were unable to complete a comeback.
Brown netted 18 of its 31 second half points in the paint and outscored Harvard 11-0 on second chance points. Lewis scored 19 of his 30 points in the final 20 minutes.
Brown will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 31 when it welcomes Dartmouth. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
