Women's Rugby Hosts Navy Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (2-2) return to College Hill to host the Navy Midshipmen (2-2) in a NIRA contest at noon on Saturday.
Brown looks to get back in the win column while the Mids look to make it two straight wins. Saturday's match will stream on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- The Bears look to bounce back from a 48-14 loss at powerhouse Harvard last weekend. Junior Nikki Lynch led the Bears with two tries in the loss and has five tries over the last two matches to lead the team in scoring.
- Akilah Cathey ranks second on the team with five tries. In the kicking game, Kendall Cunningham leads the Bears with 13 conversions and also has the team's lone penalty kick.
- Following Lynch and Cathey, two other Bears have multiple tries this season and another six have touched down for one score.
- Navy enters Saturday with a 2-2 overall record after taking a 19-18 comeback win over LIU last weekend.
- In NIRA play, Navy lost a close match to Queens to open the season and suffered a home loss against Quinnipiac.
- Abby Hershner leads Navy with 28 points this season after recording nine points – all via penalty kicks – in last weekend's win over the Sharks.
- Brown took a 19-0 win over Navy last spring in the CRC National 7s semifinal. The Bears then beat Army for the title.
- Saturday marks just the second 15s match between Brown and Navy. The teams previously met in October 2014 with Brown taking a 46-12 win at Marvel Field.
