
Coed Sailing Team Finishes Second at Open Atlantic Coast Championship

The coed sailing team participated in the Open Atlantic Coast Championship at St. Mary's College of Maryland. After a total of 28 races, the Bears finished in second place behind Harvard. Only seven points separated Brown and Harvard. The squad of Connor Nelson, Vera Allen, Liam O'Keefe, Helen Horangic, Savannah Young, and Camren Spriggs helped the Bears win the A-division.
The coed team was victorious in winning the Oberg Trophy at MIT. The Bears had a 50 point advantage over Tufts University, who followed in second place. Mason Stang, Olivia Miller, Sidney Moyer, Katharine Doble, Caroline Keeffe-Jones, Katherine Majette, Emily Mueller, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Martin Atilla, and Talia Levine carried Brown to victory.
The final event that the coed team participated in over the weekend was the Norm Reid Trophy at Boston College. The Bears finished with an 8-4 record, earning them second place out of five teams. Blake Behrens, Corinne Harrison, Katherine McNamara, Brianna Ross, Ethan Simpson, and Janelle Li made up the team for this event.
The women's sailing team participated in the Yale Women's Interconference Regatta. The Bears finished in fourth place. Brielle Willoughby, Lily Shore, Francesca Edmands, Charlotte Costikyan, Menasha Leport, and Catherine Morrisette represented the Bears in the event.
