Women's Hockey Opens Season with Home-and-Home Against Holy Cross

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown women's hockey is set to begin the season with a home-and-home against Holy Cross. The Bears open the year at Meehan Auditorium on Friday at 6 p.m.
Friday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Meehan Auditorium. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.

Scouting the Bears
- Brown returns an experienced roster with nine players who found the back of the net a season ago. Sophomore Jade Iginla led the team with 17 goals and added six assists, while sophomore India McDadi tallied three goals and 10 assists, senior Olivia Williamson had five goals a season ago, and senior Maya Mangiafico, junior Cameron Sikich, and sophomore Maddie Morgan all had three goals.
- Senior goalie Kaley Doyle is back in net after being named Second Team All-Ivy League. Doyle finished with a .932 save percentage and a 2.25 goals against average, which both ranked third in the league. Sophomore Mégane Pilon and freshman Rory Edwards add depth to the position.
- Head Coach Melanie Ruzzi returns for her third season at the helm.
- Holy Cross is 0-2-0 after a 3-2 overtime loss and a 4-3 defeat, both at Union.
- The Crusaders were picked 10th in the Hockey East preseason poll.
- Freshman Reghan Chadwick leads the team with two goals, while seniors Millie Sirum and Lilly Feeney and sophomore Lane Lewis have one goal each.
- Senior Madison Beck and sophomore Brooke Loranger have each played one game in goal.
