Full Weekend Ahead for Wrestling at Penn, Drexel, Princeton & JWU

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Brown wrestling is back on the road against Penn Friday night at 7Â p.m., Drexel Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., Princeton Saturday night at 6 p.m. and the Johnson & Wales Wildcat Open Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.
Sophomores Hunter Adrian and Sam McMonagle earned wins against No. 6 Cornell at 133 and 157 pounds. Adrian evened the match at three early when he defeated Ethan Fernandez in a 4-2 decision. McMonagle later took a 4-2 sudden victory over Cornell's Cole Handlovic. Sophomore Drew Clearie lost a close 3-2 decision at 174.
Penn is ranked No. 8 in the latest NWCAÂ Mid-Major Top 20 poll. The Quakers are 4-4 on the year with wins last weekend over No. 20 Lehigh (23-11) and Columbia (25-9). Eight wrestlers are ranked for Penn with two in the top ten. They are No. 10 senior Doug Zapf (149) and No. 7 junior Michael Colaiocco (133).
Drexel is 5-4 on the year with three straight wins over Binghamton (19-12), Franklin & Marshall (23-13) and Bucknell (23-13). Graduate student Evan Barczak (165) is 16-3 this season, while junior Cody Walsh (165/174) is 14-9 and grad student Brian Bonino (184) is 13-5.
Princeton is 1-7 this season but took down No. 8 Arizona State, 24-12, on Jan. 15 and finished second at the Franklin & Marshall Open. The Tigers have five wrestlers in the national rankings as of Jan. 24 with two in the top ten. They are No. 2 senior Patrick Glory (125) and No. 3 senior Quincy Monday (165).
Brown will then return to Providence for the JWU Wildcat Open to finish the weekend.
