Bears Hit the Road for No. 4 Quinnipiac and Princeton

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown women's hockey is back on the ice for an ECAC road weekend at No. 4 Quinnipiac on Friday and Princeton, who is receiving votes in the latest USCHO poll, on Saturday. The Bears had a successful trip last time they faced the Bobcats and Tigers away from home, coming away with a 2-2 tie against Princeton and a 1-0 win over Quinnipiac to end the 2021-22 season. The game against Quinnipiac marks the fourth-straight ranked team that the Bears will face.

SCOUTING BROWN
- Freshman Mégane Pilon had a career weekend in goal with 48 and 51 saves in the two games against No. 2 Yale last week.
- The Bears scored first in two of their last three games. Freshman Maddie Morgan picked up a goal early against No. 11 Clarkson and classmate Jade Iginla scored a power-play goal to start things at No. 2 Yale.
- Iginla (9-4-13) and freshman India McDadi (2-5-7) lead the team in points this season, while sophomore Anna Hurd (4-1-5), junior Maya Mangiafico (1-4-5) and sophomore Cameron Sikich (1-4-5) all have five points.
- Quinnipiac enters Friday night as the No. 4 team in the country according to the USCHO poll with a 22-3-0 overall record and 12-1-0 in the ECAC.
- The lone conference loss for the Bobcats came at Yale, 4-2, on Nov. 4. Since then, Quinnipiac is 13-2 with losses against Providence and Wisconsin in that span.
- The Bobcats defeated Brown 4-1 earlier this season. Olivia Mobley had two goals, while Shay Maloney and Veronica Bac also scored. Sophomore Olivia Williamson picked up the lone goal for the Bears.
- Mobley leads Quinnipiac with 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points, while Maloney, a former Brown Bear, has 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points.
- The Bobcats are sixth in the nation with 89 goals, which is second in the ECAC.
- Quinnipiac also ranks second in the country with 1.08 goals per game allowed.
- Princeton, who is receiving votes in the USCHO poll, comes into the weekend with a 9-8-1 record and 5-7-0 in the ECAC.
- The Tigers saw their four-game winning streak come to an end this past weekend with consecutive losses at Cornell and Colgate.
- Princeton beat Brown 3-2 in the first matchup this season on Nov. 5. Emerson O'Leary scored twice and Sarah Fillier tacked on a goal as well. Hurd and Williamson each tallied a goal for the Bears.
- Sarah Fillier leads the Tigers with 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points.
- Princeton scores 2.3 goals per game and allows 2.4 per game.
